The Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) are back for their fourth annual edition in Kenya, recognizing and celebrating excellence in the security sector. These prestigious awards are designed to be independent and inclusive, honoring outstanding individuals, teams, and organizations—whether buyers or suppliers—who have made exceptional contributions to security.

This year’s winners will be announced on the second day of Securexpo East Africa, 16th October 2024. With a record number of nominations received, the competition has been fierce, reflecting the incredible talent and innovation within the sector. Each entry has been rigorously evaluated by an independent panel of security experts, all of whom signed an ethics policy and declared any conflicts of interest to ensure transparency and fairness.

Each award recognizes individuals and organizations that have gone above and beyond to deliver excellence in security, contributing to a safer and more secure environment for businesses, communities, and society at large.

The OSPAs are based on extensive research into the factors that characterize outstanding performance in security, as highlighted in the Aspiring to Excellence report by Perpetuity Research. The awards are a collaborative effort with security associations and groups from around the globe, ensuring that the recognition is meaningful and globally aligned.
